National Night Out
National Night Out planning meeting is open to the public at 6:30 p.m., March 14, Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, Room 101B, 1515 SW 10th. All neighborhoods and apartments are invited to come together with Safe Streets and its partners to help plan your event on Saturday, August 5. Events are held throughout Topeka and Shawnee County. Join in the excitement and plan an event in your neighborhood. Retailer's Meeting is open to loss prevention officers and business managers.  The objective is to "link" business leaders with current and local crime trends as well as the information resources and tools needed to deter criminal activity and help protect customers and employees.  Please call 266.4606 for meeting locations or more information.

Safe Property Management Training
Safe Streets. in collaboration with the Topeka Police Department, offers an eight hour training for landlords, apartment/rental managers, property maintenance workers and those considering becoming landlords. The training includes valuable information on making rental properties safer. The training also includes identifying mental health issues and human trafficking. Training is held at 8:00 a.m. at Safe Streets, 2209 SW 29th Street.  Registration fee is $25 and should be mailed to Safe Streets, 2209 SW 29th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66611 by April 5, 2017.  For questions call 266.4606 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
